Rev. James "Jay" G. Tilley III was installed as our pastor on December 5, 2010. Jay was previously Senior Pastor at Maple Springs Baptist Church of Louisburg, NC (2006-2010). Prior to that, Jay served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Walnut Cove, NC (2004-2006) and Goodwill Baptist Church of Kernersville, NC (2000-2004).

Pastor Tilley has obtained a Bachelor's degree in Religious Education from Piedmont Bible College (1984), a Master's degree in Education at University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2000), and a Master's degree in Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary (2010).

Jay was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He and his wife of 15 years, Amy, live in the church parsonage with their three children: Jacob (12 years old), Zachariah (7 years old), and Emma (4 years old).
